ABOUT FRIENDS OF BLUE HEART SPRINGS
A grassroots nonprofit committed to preserving one of Idaho's most beloved natural treasures.
Our Mission
WE EXIST TO KEEP BLUE HEART SPRINGS PRISTINE.
Blue Heart Springs is a fragile, spring-fed jewel tucked along the Snake River near Hagerman, Idaho. Each year thousands of paddlers travel to experience its clear, cold, turquoise water. That popularity, paired with limited state funding, puts real pressure on this delicate ecosystem.
Friends of Blue Heart Springs was formed by local paddlers and conservationists to close the gap. We raise funds for cleanup and maintenance, teach water safety, and educate visitors about the invasive species that threaten the spring's future.
WHAT GUIDES OUR WORK
Stewardship
We fund cleanup and yearly maintenance to supplement state budgets and keep the springs healthy.
Safety
We help every visitor enjoy the water responsibly and comply with Idaho state requirements.
Education
We teach the public how to identify and stop invasive species before they spread.
Community
We connect volunteers, paddlers, and neighbors around a shared love of clean water.
